Todd Law Firm is a true general practice firm, providing comprehensive legal services to a wide variety of corporate and individual clients throughout the state of South Carolina. We represent large and small finance companies, credit unions, banks, municipalities, insurance companies, small business owners, convenience store chains, rental car agencies, employment agencies, transportation companies, freight companies, a charter airline, a media company, and, of course, numerous individuals.

Our History: 

Todd Law Firm. is the successor firm to Marchant and Bristow, a partnership founded in 1951 by T. Eston Marchant and Walter J. Bristow, Jr. The law firm has been in continuous practice since that time. In 1982 T. Eston Marchant, who had then assumed the duties as Adjutant General of the State of South Carolina, and Roy D. Bates, then city attorney for the City of Columbia, and both partners in the firm, withdrew, and the remaining partners, Walter B. Todd, Jr. and James R. Barber, III, continued in practice as Todd and Barber until Mr. Barber's withdrawal upon election as a circuit court judge in 1997. The firm then continued as Todd & Ward, PC, until becoming the Todd Law Firm in 2011.
